During the first stage of the colonization of Mars, with only workers and workers inhabiting the planet, Dr. Matoi and her staff moved to that remote place to research the influence of the planet on the human psyche. Among the inhabitants, some claim to suffer from particular ailments, leading them to have strange recurring dreams. Once on the planet, the doctor is also affected by the symptoms, dreaming very often of herself in a particular library. Only a chance case will lead her to discover the reason for the disturbances; or, perhaps it is more likely, to lose her sense altogether.
